          January 8, 2019

The Globe and Mail has come out in full support of a universal prescription plan. In an editorial published this week, the Globe’s editors conclude that pharmare is the unfinished business of Medire.
“nada has the opportunity to do better; to improve the average nadian’s access to necessary medicines while lowering the bill for businesses, taxpayers and citizens,” write the editors. Read the first of a series on the topic linked (here). Decision makers across the country read the Globe and Mail every day. It influences politics and lawmaking. This milestone comes at a critil moment. The Advisory Council is currently drafting a report to Parliament on the issue. Let’s amplify the Globe and Mail’s strong support for universal pharmare. January 8, 2019

Dear UPSE member, below is a link to an online survey to help UPSE and our national federation, the National Union of Public Employees (NUPGE), better address generational differences in the workplace and in our union. The survey is intended to explore similarities and differences between generations, and to also look specifilly at how the generational divide impacts women in our union. The results of this survey will be used to develop a communition strategy to help UPSE frame issues in a way that builds member unity and defends against potential divisions both within the workplace and within the union. There are 18 questions in this survey, and it takes roughly 10 minutes to complete.

At the end of the survey, you may choose to opt-in to a draw for a chance to win an iPad. Should you choose to opt-in to the draw, your information will stay confidential and separate from your survey responses.
